FAQ’s
During our children Summer Camp the children should wear comfortable casual clothes: tracksuits, shorts, t-shirts, runners etc. Keep in mind that the children will be painting and cooking so their clothes may become dirty, don’t send them in their best gear!! The children will be playing many games every day in our children summer camps and runners rather than sandals or shoes are more suitable. Every Wednesday during our children summer Camp we go swimming. Your child will require: togs, swim hat, towel, goggles and armbands (if necessary). Every day your child will need a healthy lunch, consisting of a sandwich, crackers, fruit and 2 drinks. We have a snack in the morning and lunch at 1pm. Your child will be hungry and thirsty so please ensure they have an adequate lunch. It has come to our attention that some children may have a severe allergic reaction to peanuts/nuts. This allergic reaction (anaphylactic shock) can occur through ingestion of peanut/nut products, cross contamination and breathing peanuts in the air. Since this condition can be life threatening, we are asking for your help in minimising the risk to these children by: a) Avoiding giving children peanuts in Camp lunches b) Avoiding giving peanut butter sandwiches, other spreads containing nuts such as Nutella and snacks/bars containing nuts or labelled “may contain nut traces” in Camp lunches c) Asking children not to share their lunches. Due to the severity of the problem, it is important that all parents carry out the suggested measures and reduce the risk of allergic reaction to these children. What should my child wear to camp?
Also a rain jacket is essential as we aim to play outdoors as often as possible. What should my child bring to Camp?
We do not permit the use of mobile phones, iPods or gaming devices during Camp. If your child brings any of these devices with them they will be requested to leave them in the safe keeping of a member of staff until Camp finishes at 3pm.
Should you need to contact your child during Camp times you may do so by phoning us at: 087 2223088, 086 3627835
